Rachel Brotman

Teaches Songwriting, Piano, & Voice

Rachel Brotman is an educator, performer, and native New Yorker, bringing over 15 years of performance experience and 10 years of teaching to her unique approach to music education. Specializing in piano and voice lessons, her classes focus on integrative keyboard skills with a strong foundation in theory, building musicianship through ear training, composition, songwriting, and improvisation. Her lessons are suited for ages 6 and older, with adult students welcome. It’s her goal to help students build confidence in their own musical voice and to help them find a unique way of hearing the world through music.

Before opening her private studio, she was a music teacher at Washington Market School in Manhattan and part of the St. Luke’s ASP Music program. She has a BA from Tulane University in New Orleans where she studied jazz piano and vocal performance.
